pediatric medical devices distributed to underserved communities in need.
When our founder, Brody, was born, he was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect. Fortunately, Brody lived close to a center equipped to do the challenging necessary procedures. As Brody grew older, he realized many newborns don't have access to life-saving innovations based on where they live. Specialized technologies for pediatric patients are life-saving.
The geography, or location a baby is born, should not determine a child's life. Many infants, born with life-risking defects, lack proximity to specialized pediatric medical technology capable of necessary interventions.
We recognize the impact that specialized technologies can have on the lives of pediatric patients. We envision bridging the gap in innovative pediatric medical technologies, making them more readily available to underserved populations.
We support both short-term missions and long-term healthcare systems by building a reliable donor network and providing mutual benefit to all contributors.
Envision MedTech receives surplus equipment from hospitals to distribute to underserved pediatric sectors of public health systems. The equipment is also used to support pediatric medical mission trips, enhancing the capacity of healthcare teams to provide life-saving interventions in under-equipped settings.
Envision MedTech collaborates with E-NABLE at Rutgers University to provide custom mechanical arms to children in need. We collect patient measurements, coordinate the design and printing with Rutgers, and ensure each prosthetic fits and functions properly for the child receiving it. We also value follow up as children grow out of prosthetics quickly.
Envision MedTech aim to equip birthing clinics and hospitals with pulse oximetry devices, starting in towns and expanding locally. This simple, noninvasive test—done 24 hours after birth—can detect hidden heart or lung issues early, saving lives. Early detection means safer care for newborns and less strain on healthcare systems. In healthcare, action is safer than reaction.
Caden Herst, President of the Envision MedTech Suncoast High School Club, and Brody Galloway, Founder and CEO of Envision MedTech, sit down to discuss their experiences with CHD and the role of medical technology in their lives.
